Residents, students protest proposed natural gas drilling

Over 100 Denton residents-including UNT students and professors-filled McKenna Park Thursday evening to protest a planned natural gas drilling site across the street. The event comes after the Denton City Councils July 22 decision to table a resolution to authorize permits needed to build a natural gas rig on the Rayzor Ranch construction site until more information is presented to them.
